       Grading Scheme and Grades:

          For each course taken, the student is given one of the following grades by the course teacher. The letter grades, grades points and meaning of letter grades are given below:

       The student who receives one of the following grades (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB), and (CC) is considered succesful in this course.

       The grade (DC) or (DD) obtained from a course indicates that this course has been conditionally passed. The grade (F) is given to unsuccessful students.

       The grade (M) is given to transfer students for the courses they succesfullu complete as a part of their equivalence education. The grade (M) is also given to the courses taken from the other higher education institutions.

       The grade (G) is given to students who are successfully taking non-credit courses.

       (M) and (G) grades are not included in computing grade point averages.

       The grade (D) is given if a student does not fulfill the attendance and/or application requirements of the course. The grade (D) is included in the Cumulative Grade Point Avarege (CGPA) as (F).

       Cumulative Grade Point Avarege (CGPA): The total credit points for a course are obtained by multiplying the grade point by the credit hours. In order to obtain Grade Point Avarege for a semester, the total credit points earned in the semester are divided by the total credit hours. In the calculation of CGPA, all the courses taken by a student from the begining of the entrance to the faculty to the last semester are taken into account.

       Conditions for award of Bachelor’s Degree: Students must have a CGPA of not less than 2.00 and have successfully completed all the courses in the program in order to graduate. Considering the grades of all the the students who are succesful in all the courses, students whose CGPA is between 3.00 and 3.49 are listed as Honour graduates and students whose CGPA is between 3.50 and 4.00 are listed as High Honour graduates.
